Cancer Support

A cancer diagnosis not only impacts physical health but emotional health as well. Centering Therapy MN provides supportive counseling to help cope during a cancer experience. It is your place to focus on your own emotional needs in response to the diagnosis. Cancer puts stress on your nervous system. Centering therapy will provide ways to help regulate your nervous system and improve coping during this difficult time. Centering therapy will also help you process navigating the other life demands during cancer.

Caregiver and Family Support

Centering Therapy MN is here for the loved ones who are also impacted my a cancer journey. We are here to help you respond to your own emotional needs. It is crucial that caregivers attend to their own health too. Caregiver stress can show up in physical and emotional symptoms. Centering Therapy MN recognizes themes and signs that can show up and helps attends to the unique needs that come with caregiving / being a loved one to someone going through cancer.

gRIEF Experiences

Grief can be experienced from various forms of loss. Centering Therapy MN holds space and supports people through various forms of grief including changes in hopes for oneself, unexpected health experiences, end of life, and death of a loved one. Centering Therapy MN provides a space for individuals to get support around their complex emotions within a supportive environment.

Unexpected Health Care Journeys

Life can be unexpected. Unexpected health care experiences can increase anxiety and mood. Centering Therapy MN will help individuals cope with anxiety and improve mood.  

Centering Therapy MN has experience navigating the emotional needs of people going through health care journeys. Centering Therapy MN will help support goals for living as well as possible in the midst of navigating physical health experiences.

Meet Alisa

Welcome! Alisa is a licensed mental health professional and is committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space for people to center on living life as well as possible (even in the face of challenges such as cancer). Alisa believes it takes intentionality to focus on living life fully and will provide clinical guidance. She allows individuals the dignity to have ultimate determination in the therapy process.

Everyone benefits from spaces of reflection and support. Alisa welcomes the opportunity to be part of your community and offers Centering Therapy MN as a space for you.

Currently accepting adults going through a cancer experience as well as caregivers/ family.

Centering Therapy MN believes in providing a space to find support, reflection, and center individuals’ goals for living life well, despite whatever life unexpectedly presents. Therapy is a collaborative process and most sessions last around 55 minutes per session.  Alisa would be grateful and honored to work with you.
